Midweek Meandering
It is midweek and I just need to catch my breath. Busy times!
This is perhaps the busiest time of year for me with all of the fall activities going on right now as well as college classwork.
With what I spend for gas each week I wish that Ford would sell these in the U.S.
Football season is in full swing. My beloved Dallas Cowboys won their first game in convincing fashion. I won’t get too excited until they actually win a game or two in the playoffs!
The presidential election is also in full swing. For an old political science major such as myself, the historic nature of this election is quite exciting. No matter how it turns out, will things ever be the same again?
The kids are comfortably back in the school swing of things and both seem to be doing well. Patrick is working part of the day as he did last year and eagerly awaits his first paycheck! Aubree is excited about being asked to join the honor choir. I know I am prejudiced, but her voice really is quite beautiful.
There was a tragic shooting this past weekend in Tulsa. Even in a large urban area the echoes of the shooting reverberate all over town. Many of my students were acquainted with some of the victims of this senseless tragedy.
How many shopping days until Christmas anyway?
So how is YOUR week going?
